Rawia Moudarres

Director

Rawia Moudarres has established an international reputation for her creative approach to architecture and design for buildings and interiors working on a wide range of new construction, renovations and interventions for private and commercial clients.

Deeply influenced by the beauty and ancient culture of her home countries, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey, Rawia's design work transcends any single place or attitude and draws from the broad perspective of her own life experiences in the Middle East and Europe. Over twenty years ago Rawia moved to London to study at the Architectural Association and has remained in the UK since to pursue her passion for design.

Early in her career, Rawia gained experience working on major corporate and commercial landmark projects in London, including the headquarters for British Petroleum in Finsbury Circus. After a few years with HOK International architects, Rawia established her own practice to pursue luxury residential projects and has completed over 20 large residences in central London. Many of these projects presented challenges in terms of conservation and working with delicate historic structures, and Rawia developed a unique expertise for transforming historic buildings into contemporary family homes, blending modern amenity with timeless elegance. In 2005 Rawia was awarded a commendation from England's Georgian Society for the revival of a country estate in Warfield, Berkshire, which is a keynote project in her extensive track record for creating world class lifestyle environments for private clients.

In 2006 Rawia joined Pierre Baillargeon to found Mixity, a design studio which is growing an extensive portfolio of architecture, master planning and interior design projects internationally. Working closely in collaboration with the Mixity studio team, Rawia is focused on design at all scales across a wide range of building types, including residential, retail, office, culture and hotel projects building Mixity's creative leadership in architecture and interior design.
